Wholeheartedly dedicated to work, wholeheartedly serving customers — Interview with Xiang Sunkui, Business Manager of Qianchuan Wooden Doors Luzhou Store

Under the leadership of General Manager Mou, Qianchuan Wooden Door Luzhou Store achieved remarkable sales performance in 2011, and all of this is inseparable from the unremitting efforts of Business Manager Xiang Sunkui.
According to the appointment, I went to the store at 4 p.m. to interview Manager Xiang, but was told that he had to leave temporarily due to a client's last-minute request to discuss wooden door styles, prices, and other matters. Later, I received a call apologizing, saying he had just finished and would definitely make time for the interview tomorrow, but it was already 9 p.m. When I met Manager Xiang for the first time the next morning, I found that he was not the mature and steady person I had imagined, but a vigorous, mature, and capable young man.
Since joining Qianchuan in April this year, Xiang Sunkui has been promoted from a small salesperson to a business manager and won the "Top Ten Service Stars" in the first half of 2011. These achievements and honors are the result of his diligence and wholehearted service to customers. Xiang Sunkui's daily work schedule is fully packed. Take the interview day, Friday, for example: arriving at the company at 8:30 a.m.; at 9 a.m., visiting the recently started construction site to check progress, further understand customer information, and take notes; at 11 a.m., returning to the company to select the main recommended products agreed with customers the day before to ensure successful business negotiations; in the afternoon, returning to the morning construction site to see if the customer is present, conducting face-to-face talks, measuring door sizes, budgeting the total door price, or calling to arrange related matters if the customer is absent. The following weekend is spent making phone calls to schedule appointments, greeting old customers, and preparing plans for appointments.
"Don't you get annoyed or tired?" he said, "Although the daily work is busy, it is fulfilling. I realize my self-worth in the busyness and experience the joy of work. I am engaged in work I like, so of course I don't get annoyed or tired." As a business manager, Xiang Sunkui also has his own business philosophy: to run business, one must fully understand and analyze the market, provide products suitable for customers according to their needs, and uphold the principle of "wholeheartedly serving customers." He said, "Wholeheartedly serving customers means communicating with customers sincerely to help them choose suitable and satisfactory products. No matter when or where, whenever Qianchuan's customers have needs, we should do our best to meet them, so that customers and their friends will think of Qianchuan and you first when they have needs." It is precisely because of this service philosophy that he has gained customers' trust, established a good reputation, and improved his business skills and comprehensive abilities.
During the conversation, Xiang Sunkui mentioned a customer who did not choose Qianchuan but became a good friend. We also found this customer, and in a detailed talk, she said, "When I was renovating my house, Xiao Xiang gave me a lot of advice. Although I didn't choose Qianchuan later, I saw his enthusiasm and persistence, which touched me deeply. Through this process, I also understood the charm of Qianchuan's corporate culture, and I trust him. Later, many of my friends asked me which brand of doors was good, and I directly recommended Qianchuan. The facts later proved that choosing Xiao Xiang and Qianchuan was the right choice. One memorable thing was that a friend of mine, because of work, only had weekends to handle door matters. One weekend morning, she called Xiao Xiang to discuss door issues. It happened that Xiao Xiang was off that day, but without hesitation, he went to my friend's house and handled the door matters properly. He kept thanking me for recommending Qianchuan and Xiao Xiang."
Nothing is ever smooth sailing. Xiang Sunkui also encountered many difficulties at work: being kicked out of customers' construction sites, customers refusing to answer calls once they know he is a salesperson, ignoring him no matter what he says, customers rejecting the chosen styles due to price reasons... These difficulties have become routine, and he has gradually developed his own set of solutions. Now he can basically handle these situations. He said, "I really enjoy the process of solving difficulties because I learn a lot of useful things for myself during this process!"
When talking about his prospects for working at Qianchuan in the future, Xiang Sunkui said, "First, I will do my best to do my job well, then continuously strengthen our business team, so that under General Manager Mou's leadership, our team will grow into the best business team in Luzhou's wooden door industry, and make Qianchuan stand at the peak of the Luzhou wooden door market."
