Today, we continue our journey to explore this romantic and mysterious land—Nyingchi.
We still set off with the morning light. Although the journey is long, the scenery along the way is equally stunning. The river sparkles under the sunlight like a long, winding blue silk ribbon.
We pause here briefly to feel the mountain breeze and the bright sunshine. The distant snow-capped mountains stand like dignified elders, while the nearby lively flowing river seems like a playful and adorable companion.
Then, we arrived at the Sejila Pass. Sejila Mountain is located east of the county town in the Nyingchi area and serves as the watershed between the Niyang River and the Parlung Tsangpo River. The pass is at an altitude of 4,728 meters and is a famous landmark on the Sichuan-Tibet route.
Sejila Pass is the best place to view Mount Namcha Barwa (the world's fifteenth highest peak, over 7,000 meters). Due to geographical and climatic reasons, Mount Namcha Barwa is shrouded in clouds and mist year-round, rarely seen, and is called the "Cloud Paradise." Today, however, we were incredibly lucky to see its "true form."
Lulang: A Pure and Peaceful Poetic Town
This is a poetic town full of Tibetan charm, pure and peaceful, and an international tourist town. Lulang International Tourist Town preserves the Tibetan architectural style quite completely. Here, various buildings blend perfectly with nature.
The area is densely forested, with rocky riverbeds and rushing clear streams; mountain clouds gather and disperse; wooden fences, plank houses, and pastoral villages are scattered like stars; it is tranquil and beautiful, with snow mountains, forests, and fields painting a "mountain dwelling picture."
The wonderful songs played by the streams ring in the ears, horses lower their heads enjoying delicious food, and the quiet town can be called a "paradise on earth."
Lulang Forest Sea
The forest in the misty mountains of Lulang Forest Sea is famed as a place that makes people reluctant to leave home. The rolling hills are picturesque and poetic. Surrounding snow mountains stand tall, and the valleys are lush with forest.
The viewing platform backs onto the mountain and overlooks a deep valley, protruding from the hillside with a very broad view. Looking left toward the vast sea of clouds, the green mountains are lush. White clouds float in the blue sky like silk, flowers, or ribbons, ever-changing. Sometimes as thin as cicada wings, sometimes thick like floating cotton clusters. Clouds rise at the mountain waist and gather at the peak.
Niyang Pavilion Southeast Tibetan Culture Expo Park
Niyang Pavilion Southeast Tibetan Culture Expo Park is located at the confluence of the Yarlung Tsangpo River and the Niyang River in the Nyingchi area, 1.5 kilometers from Bayi Town. It has convenient transportation and beautiful scenery and is one of the most valuable tourist attractions in Southeast Tibet.
Niyang Pavilion is magnificent and is the core building of the entire expo park. It inherits typical Tibetan architectural features and is known as the "business card of Southeast Tibet and a landmark building of Nyingchi."
The fluttering colorful prayer flags and the leisurely dogs can make people stop and let memories flood the mind, allowing time to pause here.
