Qianchuan Wooden Doors Conducts Emergency Rescue Drill for Safety Production Accidents
At 2 p.m. on June 28, everything was as usual, with workers orderly and normally at work. Suddenly, three consecutive explosions were heard inside the No. 1 factory building of Qianchuan Wooden Doors. The explosions caused a fire, which quickly spread, producing thick smoke and blaring alarms.
Danger is an order. Deputy General Manager Qiu Qingjian rushed to the scene immediately. Manufacturing Director Ren Baizhou promptly reported the accident: an explosion occurred in the grinding workshop of Branch 1, accompanied by open flames causing a fire. There were injured personnel and further details were being verified. Upon hearing this, General Manager Qiu immediately issued the order to "activate the emergency response plan for safe production," summoned department heads to assemble at the company plaza, quickly established an emergency rescue command center, and instructed relevant personnel to immediately call emergency numbers 119 and 120 and report to the district fire brigade, district public security bureau, district safety supervision bureau, and district science park management committee to request their support.
At the same time, the Qianchuan Wooden Doors volunteer fire brigade responded immediately, quickly arriving with firefighting equipment to reinforce the efforts. Upon arriving at the fire scene, they swiftly deployed fire hoses, connected to fire hydrants, and began on-site firefighting. In the face of the fire, they demonstrated their proficient emergency response capabilities.
In the face of the fire, the most important thing was personnel safety. To quickly evacuate factory employees to a safe area, the emergency rescue team responded immediately, organizing employees to evacuate to the safe area—the basketball court. During the evacuation, eight injured individuals were found, some with head injuries and others with foot injuries. With everyone's help, they were safely evacuated to the safe area and received emergency treatment.
Shortly after, the fire brigade, district public security bureau, district safety supervision bureau, and district science park management committee arrived at the fire scene. Fire trucks (119), ambulances (120), environmental monitoring vehicles, and power supply emergency vehicles also arrived successively to assist. Upon arrival, they immediately engaged in rescue operations: the fire brigade organized personnel for reconnaissance and helped the emergency rescue team evacuate all employees to safety; the district fire brigade controlled the fire and helped rescue trapped individuals; the district public security bureau secured the scene and evacuated surrounding people; the 120 ambulance provided medical aid to the injured; the power supply emergency vehicle cut off electricity at the scene; the district environmental protection bureau conducted environmental monitoring of the fire site; and the district science park staff quickly notified surrounding enterprises to evacuate personnel.
With rapid and effective firefighting measures, the fire alarm was lifted, the danger was successfully eliminated, and the company returned to normal working conditions.
With the danger resolved, today's fire was truly a false alarm. This was actually a "2012 Wenjiang District Safety Production Accident Emergency Rescue Drill" jointly conducted by Qianchuan Wooden Doors and the Wenjiang District Safety Supervision Bureau and other related departments. Wenjiang District Safety Supervision Bureau Director Deng Yonggui came to the drill site and served as the chief commander of the safety drill, directing the entire drill. Qianchuan Wooden Doors Deputy General Manager Qiu Qingjian acted as the on-site commander, overseeing the overall deployment of the drill. Representatives from enterprises in the Haixia Science Park also observed the safety drill.
Fires can happen at any time. For manufacturing enterprises, production safety must be the top priority. Qianchuan Wooden Doors practices the corporate responsibility of "safety first" through concrete actions, regularly holding production safety drills, participating in fire safety activities, and conducting safety production training. This ensures everyone has safety awareness, keeps safety production in mind at all times, implements it in action, and remembers it deeply.
