2012 2nd "Qianchuan Baby" Design Competition Call for Entries

　　To better promote the brand image, Chengdu Qianchuan Wood Industry Co., Ltd. is openly soliciting designs for the Qianchuan wooden door cartoon "Qianchuan Doll" image from design and art students nationwide, as well as social designers, design agencies, and design art enthusiasts.

　　1. Solicitation Content

　　Submission deadline: August 1, 2012 – August 31, 2012

　　Announcement of results: September 20, 2012

　　3. Target Participants

　　Design and art students from schools nationwide, as well as social designers, design agencies, and design art enthusiasts.

　　4. Requirements for Works

　　Designs should be creative, unique, and one-of-a-kind, bold and novel, aligned with the wooden door industry positioning, and embody the spirit of the times. The following points should be emphasized:

　　1. The submitted works should include two cartoon "Qianchuan Dolls," one male and one female, aged between 5-7 years old. They should be novel, unique, brightly colored, cute, visually attractive, impactful, and friendly, with images that are easy to remember and spread;

　　2. In terms of form and technical means, the designs should be practical, easy to scale up or down, suitable for exhibitions, promotional materials, derivative souvenirs, inflatable models, and other carriers, facilitating deeper design and promotion;

　　3. Participants must submit three views of the design (including front, front-side, and back); the design should reflect Qianchuan brand's main color scheme — green (C:100 M:0 Y:100 K:70);

　　4. The cartoon images in the submissions should depict the cartoon main body, Qianchuan company installation engineer, customer service manager, and production worker roles from multiple angles or actions;

　　5. Participants should explain the name of the submitted work and the creative concept on the upload page;

　　6. Participants must keep a 300dpi source file suitable for printing production;

　　7. Each submission should include the following content:

　　① One layout page including the work's name, design drawings, and design description;

　　② Provide vector source files for evaluation and printing.

　　Note: Any layout containing the author's name or any marks will be considered invalid. All submissions will not be returned.

　　5. Submission Methods

　　Design works should be computer-produced or hand-drawn art pieces. The design should indicate the creative idea and the meaning of the cartoon image.

　　1. Please mail the color printout of the work (300dpi resolution, A4 size, with design text description) or the original drawing (with design text description) to Chengdu Qianchuan Wood Industry Co., Ltd., indicating the participant's name, address, and contact information.

　　2. Electronic versions of the design (including design text description, source files, and jpg or gif format images) can be sent via email. Please mark the email subject as "Qianchuan Doll Image Design Submission."

　　3. Bring the design work in person to the company for submission.

　　6. Copyright Statement

　　1. Submitted works must not infringe on others' copyrights. If discovered, the participant will be disqualified, and any certificates or prizes awarded will be reclaimed. All legal responsibilities lie with the participant;

　　2. All participants must use their real names and contact information; otherwise, prizes cannot be claimed;

　　3. Once selected, the works will be awarded according to different levels and grades as determined by the judging panel. After awarding prizes, the copyright of the winning works belongs to Chengdu Qianchuan Wood Industry Co., Ltd.;

　　4. Shortlisted works must provide a complete design plan that meets requirements and provide editable source files;

　　5. After the announcement of results, unselected works can be handled by the participants themselves;

　　6. Participants or design agencies submitting works are deemed to agree to the above statements.

　　7. Evaluation Method

　　1. The judging committee organized by our company will evaluate all submissions seriously based on the principles of openness, fairness, and justice;

　　2. Approximately 10-20 outstanding shortlisted works will be preliminarily selected, from which winners will be chosen: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 10 excellence awards;

　　3. After the submission deadline, all works meeting the competition requirements will be displayed on the official competition website.

　　8. Awards

　　1 first prize: Prize - iPad

　　2 second prizes: Prize - iPod Classic

　　3 third prizes: Prize - 100 RMB mobile recharge card

　　10 excellence awards: Prize - Qianchuan company event souvenirs

　　Based on the number and quality of submissions, awards will be given, and company leaders will issue certificates of honor and exquisite prizes. For winners from other regions, prizes will be mailed according to the registered address.

　　9. Other Matters

　　1. No evaluation or registration fees will be charged for submissions;

　　2. The final interpretation right of this event belongs to the organizer.
