Qianchuan's "Rong"
Qianchuan's "Rong"
— Interview with Cai Rong, Business Department Manager of Qianchuan Wooden Doors
In 2009, when Cai Rong had just resigned from a coastal magazine and returned to her hometown in Sichuan to start a new career, in her words, "everything had to start from zero, but I was full of expectations for the future." Until May, she joined Qianchuan. Having studied journalism and worked as a reporter before, she began her new career as an administrative clerk, starting her breakthrough from zero.

Cai Rong, Business Department Manager
She has successively worked in the company's Human Resources and Administration Department, Special Channels Department, Purchasing Department, and Business Department. These experiences made her familiar with the operations of various departments. Now, as the Business Department Manager of Qianchuan Wooden Doors, she shoulders the important responsibility of managing the business department. After three years of hard work and refinement, she has long shed the initial inexperience when she first joined the company, but the gains and passion Qianchuan has given her remain undiminished.
An ancient saying goes: "Only when there is a discerning talent scout, can there be a thousand-mile horse. Thousand-mile horses are common, but discerning talent scouts are rare." Qianchuan opened a new career path for Cai Rong, which can be said to be her discerning talent scout. But it was the keen eye of General Manager Luo Baitao that gave her a broader development space. Cai Rong expressed her gratitude, saying that along the way, she received help from many people, among whom she is most thankful to General Manager Luo Baitao.
"General Luo not only provided me with a platform for development but also taught me many things. How to organize thoughts at work, how to achieve goals, even how to manage—these have greatly helped me in my current job. When I first came to the company as a newcomer, I knew nothing and started almost from zero. At that time, the company provided me with a development platform, and General Luo taught me many things without reservation. I remember when I first joined the Special Channels Department, now called the Engineering Department, there were only me and the current Engineering Department Manager Li Zhenglian. Since we had no prior experience in this area, we knew almost nothing and had to explore on our own. General Luo's help during this process was significant. He often worked overtime with us, preparing engineering bids late into the night. Although that period was tough, the knowledge I gained was invaluable. When I encountered difficulties at work, he would guide and encourage me, giving me confidence to better face challenges in the workplace. I am very grateful for this because in many companies, many people would not teach you so openly. I would not have had such a good learning opportunity. Coming to Qianchuan and meeting a leader like General Luo made me feel very fortunate," said Cai Rong.
As the Business Department Manager, her daily work mainly involves dealing with distributors nationwide, but there are many details to pay attention to, making each day busy and complex: answering various calls, solving and coordinating various matters.
"Every day is very busy, but this kind of busyness makes me feel fulfilled."
"Dealing with distributors is completely different from dealing with colleagues or clients. Distributors are our partners. As the sales backend service department of the marketing center, the Business Department must ensure solid logistical support. While distributors fight on the front lines, we provide strong logistical support at the back, working together with distributors to increase sales and enhance the brand. Our only principle is to ensure that every order from distributors is transmitted, shipped, and delivered on time."
Wooden doors, as customized products, are not as simple as selling a piece of clothing. During ordering, order review, and production, the Business Department interacts with distributors, and some objective factors may cause misunderstandings, which is inevitable. How to handle misunderstandings with distributors has been a great test for Cai Rong, but she has her own set of methods.
"Our industry is inherently... but our principle is to serve distributors, so we must maintain the right attitude and always put service first. Regular communication with distributors is the best bridge for work. In my work, I focus on three aspects to do my best. First, clarify goals; only by clearly defining our position and goals can we work better. Second, streamline and standardize work processes to improve efficiency. Third, improve the professional skills of business specialists. As the communication link between distributors and the company, business specialists' work is highly professional. Only by enhancing their skills can we carry out comprehensive work better."
With a grateful heart, she harvests her life and career ideals on the road ahead: "In the three years at Qianchuan, I have learned a lot and gained much: I found my place in work and realized my value; in life, I accumulated valuable experiences. Along the way, there were joys of success and loneliness of failure, comfort from recognition and grievances from misunderstandings. But I firmly believe that as long as I work hard, all misunderstandings will be understood. The road ahead is still tough, but I will continue to persevere and live up to Qianchuan's cultivation and the trust of all leaders."
