  At 4 p.m. on April 23, 2013, Tang Huajun, Vice Chairman of the Wenjiang District Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce), and Secretary-General Wang Chao visited Chengdu Qianchuan Wood Industry Co., Ltd. to understand the disaster situation in the hometown of Qianchuan employees, Lushan, and to express care and condolences to the company's employees, encouraging them to build confidence, resume production as soon as possible, and minimize losses.
  General Manager Luo Baitao introduced to Chairman Tang and Secretary-General Wang the disaster situation of the employees of Qianchuan Wood Industry Group and the company's specific participation in earthquake relief efforts.
  The April 20 earthquake caused harm to many people, especially the employees of Qianchuan Wood Industry Group. Among more than 1,000 employees of Chengdu Qianchuan Wood Industry Co., Ltd., 300 are from the earthquake epicenter Lushan, where their homes were severely damaged and basically uninhabitable, with a small number of employees having injured family members.
  Immediately after the earthquake, the company gathered employees in the playground to comfort them. Chairman Luo Zhengren announced the company's primary action via phone after the earthquake: temporarily suspending production and mobilizing employees to return home to support disaster relief work. After arriving at the company, General Manager Luo Baitao organized the establishment of an earthquake relief task force and quickly organized over 200 people, 50 vehicles, and earthquake relief supplies to head to the disaster area.
  During the report, Chairman Tang and Secretary-General Wang highly praised Qianchuan Wood Industry Group's rapid response capability and organized, disciplined behavior, and were deeply moved by the spirit of the company's employees participating in earthquake relief.
  Chairman Tang fully affirmed Qianchuan Wood Industry Group's immediate participation in earthquake relief efforts and requested that trade unions at all levels fully play their supportive role, quickly carry out rescue activities, and bring the warmth of the union organization to enterprises and employees. Special attention should be given to employees from disaster-affected families to ensure their living needs are guaranteed.
