Love Shines Bright in Autumn — Qianchuan People Donate Blood to Colleagues Voluntarily
On September 1st, Xia Huaping, a female worker in the woodworking workshop of Qianchuan Wood Industry Group's Central China base, was hospitalized due to injury. Due to excessive blood loss, she urgently needed a large amount of blood transfusion. The blood bank at Wuhan Union Hospital was unable to meet the demand for blood for Xia Huaping's surgery! This made the Central China base extremely anxious and they immediately sent out a call for help to multiple parties.

After learning this news, Chen Jun, the supervisor of the paint workshop at the Central China base, immediately initiated a call in the workshop—let us extend a helping hand to save this injured colleague! Within less than 5 minutes of this call, 7 workers voluntarily offered to donate blood for Xia Huaping. Subsequently, the number of people willing to donate blood grew larger, from a few to more than a dozen... However, some employees were too busy with their work and could not leave their posts. In the end, Supervisor Chen selected 6 suitable employees to go to Wuhan Union Hospital to donate blood for Xia Huaping. Among these 6 employees, 4 were from Sichuan and 2 were from Hong'an, Hubei.
When the blood donation team arrived in Wuhan on the afternoon of September 6th, the blood bank had already stopped collecting blood. At this time, everyone was extremely anxious—on one side was the colleague waiting for the transfusion, and on the other was the blood bank with its doors tightly closed. With no other option, after visiting Xia Huaping, they hurried back to the company. On September 7th, everyone got up early and rushed to the hospital. The hospital conducted health checks on the 6 workers; two workers from Hong'an could not donate blood due to health reasons. The 4 workers from Sichuan donated a total of 1200cc of blood for Xia Huaping. Among them, the only female, Song Liqun, the grinding team leader, donated 400cc alone. The other three employees—Wang Lin and Liu Lunbing from the grinding team, and Li Jinfa from the paint team—donated a total of 800cc. After donating blood, the workers immediately returned to the company and resumed their busy work the next day.
Song Liqun told reporters that after learning about their colleague's hospitalization, everyone was very worried. Many people joined the blood donation team without any hesitation. Some could not leave their posts due to work, so in the end, 6 people were selected to participate in the blood donation. Although two colleagues could not donate due to health reasons, their spirit was also very precious. Liu Lunbing said, "During the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake and the 4.20 Ya'an earthquake, people from all over the country selflessly helped the people of Sichuan. We hold a grateful heart towards society. Now that we have the opportunity to help others, we will not hesitate and are very happy to be able to help."
Reporters learned that except for the two workers from Hong'an who knew Xia Huaping, the other four Sichuan workers did not know her before donating blood. But as colleagues and fellow Qianchuan people, they also extended a helping hand. "If Xia Huaping still needs blood transfusions, we have many people here ready to donate at any time!" said Chen, the supervisor of the paint workshop.
It is precisely this selfless spirit of Qianchuan people, who do not distinguish between you and me, that allowed Xia Huaping to receive timely treatment. Currently, Xia Huaping's health is gradually recovering.
Qianchuan people have responsibility and commitment.
Let us salute the remarkable Qianchuan people!
