The activity involved jointly climbing a local scenic spot—Yunmen Mountain.
Yunmen Mountain features steep cliffs and majestic terrain, covered with pine and cypress trees scattered like a giant bonsai placed in the south of the city. Its beautiful and elegant appearance and unique geographical environment give it a distinctive charm, attracting many people to climb to the summit.
Mountaineering, as an activity suitable for all ages, has been highly regarded since ancient times. It not only strengthens the body and fortifies the will during the climb but also allows one to personally experience the heroic feeling of "standing on the summit and viewing all other mountains as small," appreciating the charm of famous mountains! Moreover, mutual assistance during climbing greatly helps increase team emotions and enhance team cohesion. Therefore, the Weifang Specialty Store specially chose to climb this famous mountain and visit historical sites during this team-building event.
Early that morning, the team members of Qianchuan Weifang Specialty Store gathered and boarded the vehicle, driving about seventy kilometers from Weifang city center to the Qingzhou Yunmen Mountain Scenic Area. After about an hour and a half of driving, the vehicle stopped in front of the mountain gate. Just as everyone was preparing to get off and start climbing, Yunmen Mountain welcomed the first ray of morning light.
Accompanied by the morning light, everyone slowly climbed along the stone steps, enjoying the roadside scenery while discussing the ancient cultural relics in the mountain. The team members happily communicated along the way, creating a lively atmosphere. During the climb, they visited the ancient and magnificent "Wangshou Pavilion," the exquisitely crafted "Wanchun Cave," the tall and majestic "Longevity as the South Mountain" site, and the main peak "Great Yun Summit," among others. These included both natural mountainous landscapes and ancient pavilions and towers built by ancestors, whose grandeur and elegance amazed the Qianchuan team members repeatedly.
For example, at the "Longevity as the South Mountain" scenic spot, the character "寿" (longevity) carved on the rock wall is 7.5 meters tall and 3.7 meters wide. The lower part of the character, "寸," alone measures 2.22 meters in height. The character is written with elegant and free-flowing strokes; although carved with countless chisels, it shows no trace of workmanship. It is a treasure of calligraphic stone carving art, with a history of over 400 years. The idiom "寿比南山" (longevity as the South Mountain) originates from this.
Although the mountain offers beautiful scenery, during the climb, the team occasionally encountered narrow and steep sections. The members of the Qianchuan Weifang Specialty Store helped each other and walked hand in hand, ensuring that no one was left behind, reflecting the spirit of teamwork in small details. Yunmen Mountain's vertical height of 421 meters may not sound high, but the winding and twisting path makes reaching the summit a challenge. From the mountain gate to the summit at the "Longevity as the South Mountain" site, the team climbed together and took a commemorative photo holding the "Qianchuan Wooden Door" flag beneath the "寿" character. In the afternoon, after spending some time at the summit, the specialty store organized everyone to descend promptly.
Regarding this climb of Yunmen Mountain, the team members of Qianchuan Wooden Door Weifang Specialty Store expressed that it was very meaningful. Although the process was tough, it was full of fun, and the feeling of being part of a team was deeply memorable. This climb organized by the specialty store not only enhanced team emotions but also greatly improved team cohesion. It is believed that in future work at the specialty store, the entire team will perform even better.
