The First Member Representative Assembly of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce was successfully held in Chengdu.

　　On May 15, 2014, the first member representative conference of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce was successfully held at the Chengdu Jinniu Hotel. Leaders including Sun Guangze, Vice Chairman of the Chengdu Federation of Industry and Commerce, Zhong Qi, Director of the Membership Department, Cao Yu, Deputy Director, Guo Yi, Deputy Researcher of the Civil Affairs Bureau's Department of Management of Non-Governmental Organizations, as well as more than 90 member representatives of entrepreneurs from Ya'an residing in Chengdu attended the meeting.

　　The conference was presided over by Director Zhong, who reviewed and approved the "Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce Charter" and the "Election Method for the First Member Conference of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce," and elected the first leadership team members. 　　Eight individuals including Jiang Fenglin, Chairman of Sichuan Xikang Mining Co., Ltd., Chen Bin, Chairman of Ya'an Taishi Biological Co., Ltd., Zhang Zhongwei, Chairman of Chengdu Fengfeng Food Co., Ltd., Luo Bo, General Manager of Sichuan Keming Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Co., Ltd., Li Xibing, General Manager of Gugu Water Industry Co., Ltd., Liu Tianbao, Chairman of Sichuan Ruilong Investment Management Co., Ltd., Ding Wanping, Chairman of Wangping Hydropower Co., Ltd., and Zhou Xiaodong, Chairman of Pixian Huitong Stone Industry, were elected as Executive Vice Presidents; eight others including Gao Jianguo of Sichuan Xingao Fire Engineering Co., Ltd. were elected as Vice Presidents; Yang Xianqiang, General Manager of Chengdu Jianshengtang Industrial Co., Ltd., was elected as Supervisor; and Cai Rong was appointed as Secretary-General of the Chamber, responsible for daily work. 　　At the beginning of the conference, Luo Zhengren, Chairman of Qianchuan Wood Industry Group and leader of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce Preparatory Group, delivered a report on the preparatory work of the chamber, once again clarifying the purpose of establishing the Ya'an Chamber of Commerce, which is to enhance the cohesion of Ya'an entrepreneurs in Chengdu and promote the economic prosperity and social development of both Chengdu and Ya'an. During the preparatory phase, the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce Preparatory Group received strong support and guidance from the Chengdu Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Civil Affairs Bureau. On April 28, 2014, the Chengdu Federation of Industry and Commerce issued the "Approval for the Establishment of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce."

　　The chamber of commerce is an inevitable product of the development of the socialist market economy. It is a platform for entrepreneurs to participate in social and political life, safeguard and protect their legitimate rights and interests, serve as an important bridge connecting the government and enterprises as well as enterprises with each other, showcase corporate cultural values, and give back to society. It is also an important assistant for the government in serving private enterprises and plays a significant role in the wave of market economic development. Ya'an entrepreneurs developing in Chengdu are widely distributed and influential. The establishment of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce will provide a good platform for Ya'an businessmen to communicate, unite for development, and achieve win-win progress. 　　Guo Yi, Deputy Researcher of the Department of Management of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Chengdu Civil Affairs Bureau, extended warm congratulations and expectations for the development of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce. The establishment of the chamber is a grand event long awaited by the majority of Ya'an businessmen in Chengdu. In the future, Ya'an businessmen can further integrate resources and improve competitiveness by leveraging this platform.
