Communication, Cooperation, Development, Win-Win — Establishment of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce

　　On the afternoon of July 25, the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce was officially established, and the Ya'an Post-Disaster Industrial Reconstruction Project Promotion Conference was grandly held at Chengdu Jinniu Hotel.

　　More than 350 people attended the conference, including relevant leaders from Sichuan Province, Chengdu, and Ya'an City, financial institutions, consulting units, representatives of friendly chambers of commerce, elites from all walks of life, and chamber members.

　　Ya'an has a long history and is the starting point of the ancient Tea Horse Road in China. It was under the central government's jurisdiction as early as the pre-Qin period. The Han dynasty's cultural heritage is rich, and in modern times, it has left magnificent chapters known as the "Tragic Land of King Yi" and the "Victory Site of the Red Army."

　　Ya'an Rural Commercial Bank granted a credit line of 500 million RMB to the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce.

　　Chengdu, a city of wealth and success, has become China's fourth regional cluster engine outside the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, and Bohai Rim. Chengdu is a new generation city with the greatest development potential globally.

　　The development connection between Chengdu and Ya'an has gradually become prominent in the broader market landscape. The spirit of Ya'an businessmen, who are brave and persistent, has created unlimited value in this fertile land of Chengdu. In the future, joint development and industrial linkage will be the inexhaustible driving force and energy for the economic development and social progress of both Chengdu and Ya'an.

　　The founding of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce is in line with the trend of the times, striving to play a greater role in promoting economic construction in both Chengdu and Ya'an. After nearly a year of preparation, with strong support from the Chengdu Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Civil Affairs Bureau, and close cooperation from the United Front Work Department and Federation of Industry and Commerce of Ya'an, as well as care and assistance from friends from all walks of life, the first member representative meeting was successfully held on May 15, 2014. The chamber's charter and membership management measures were approved, and the first leadership was elected. Luo Zheng, Chairman of Qianchuan Wood Industry Group, was elected as the first president of the chamber.

　　Currently, the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce has 135 members, with industries covering home building materials, mining development, food processing, biotechnology, water conservancy and hydropower, hotel management, stone trade, commercial investment, cultural media, and more. The industrial structure is diversified, with a wide radiation range and significant influence.

　　The establishment of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce has received widespread attention and support from all sectors of society. Many units and individuals have sent congratulatory messages and letters. Former Sichuan Provincial Party Secretary Xie Shijie, former Ya'an Prefecture Party Secretary and former Chairman of the Municipal People's Congress Yang Shuiyuan, former Ya'an Municipal Party Secretary Fu Keqin, Director of the China Wood Conservation and Development Center and President of the China Wood and Wood Products Circulation Association Liu Nengwen, as well as representatives from various chambers of commerce, warmly congratulated the establishment of the Chengdu Ya'an Chamber of Commerce. Relevant departments of the Chengdu and Ya'an municipal party committees, governments, federations of industry and commerce, and civil affairs bureaus expressed at the conference that they will fully support the development and growth of the chamber, create favorable conditions for its development, and promote its healthy growth and vigorous development.
