Caring for Ludian, Yunnan - Qianchuan Love Relay

　　I, Qianchuan, deeply empathize with the plight of our compatriots in the Ludian disaster area. As a person from Ya'an, who has experienced the Wenchuan earthquake on May 12 and the Lushan earthquake on April 20, I know that natural disasters are ruthless but there is love among people. The many Ya'an employees working at Qianchuan and the compatriots from Lushan have deeply felt the warmth and strength sent from all corners of the motherland. This time, we have the duty and responsibility to pass on this love, give back to society with gratitude, help the disaster-stricken people overcome difficulties, and rebuild their homes.

　　At 2:30 pm on August 13, under the blazing sun, on the 10th day after the Ludian earthquake in Yunnan, Qianchuan Wood Industry Group Chairman Luo Zhengren led company employees in a relay of love for the earthquake disaster area, taking the lead in putting donations into the box.

　　The magnitude 6.5 earthquake that occurred on August 3 in Ludian County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, caused significant casualties and property losses to the local people. As of August 13, the earthquake had caused 617 deaths, 112 missing persons, and more than 3,000 injuries. A large number of houses collapsed, and infrastructure such as electricity, communications, and transportation was severely damaged, causing huge losses to the lives and property of the people.

　　It is understood that this is the strongest and deadliest earthquake Yunnan has experienced in 18 years. The Qianchuan people, who have previously received social help, have petitioned to contribute their modest efforts to the disaster area. When the mournful music played in the square, company employees came out of workshops and offices, gathered together to pray for the disaster area people and observe a moment of silence for the suffering compatriots. The heavy expressions appeared again on everyone's face, but there was more comfort in offering love and helping others. The hope of life leapt in the hopeful expressions.

All employees of Qianchuan Wood Industry Group reached out their hands to offer love and give back with gratitude. As of the evening of August 13, all employees of Qianchuan Wood Industry Group had raised tens of thousands of yuan in donations for the disaster area. This donation will be delivered to the disaster area people through relevant channels.
