"How can the channel be so clear? Because there is a source of fresh water flowing in." Chairman Luo Zheng of Qianchuan Wooden Doors returns from a study tour in Japan.
Recently, the Sichuan Business Association organized and launched a business study tour to Japan for its directors, with a total of 21 directors participating. They departed from various places including Chengdu, Shenzhen, Changchun, and Zhejiang. The delegation included leaders from 20 well-known Sichuan enterprises such as New Hope Group, Maipu Group, Noride Group, and Puri Group.
As the vice president unit of the Sichuan Business Association, Qianchuan Wooden Doors' chairman Luo Zhengren participated in this study tour to promote the Sichuan business brand, strengthen communication and exchange with Japanese entrepreneurs, and facilitate mutual development.

It is understood that the "business study tour" is an important director service launched by the Sichuan Business Association. By deeply exploring "touring" and "learning," it combines business inspection with tourism visits, allowing Sichuan entrepreneurs to "go out" and "bring in," achieving an intangible exchange of resources.
On one hand, the directors go abroad to promote the Sichuan business brand and culture, showcasing the style of Sichuan entrepreneurs; on the other hand, the study tour team visits and inspects large foreign enterprises and world-famous sites, absorbing excellent business management methods and diverse cultural essences to integrate into their own enterprises.
On the morning of August 27, the Sichuan Business Association's Japan business inspection delegation gathered at Shuangliu Airport, ready to depart. Tang Jun, the executive secretary-general of the Sichuan Business Association, specially arrived early at Shuangliu Airport to see off the directors of the study tour group.

This trip to Japan will last six days, covering Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka, and other places, including enterprise visits, business meetings, inspections, and sightseeing of historic sites.
Early on August 28, Chairman Luo and the accompanying directors arrived at the University of Tokyo, Japan's top university. The University of Tokyo is a research-oriented comprehensive university, ranked among the top universities worldwide and highly prestigious.
Here, the delegation will exchange and share business management insights with Nobuyuki Kodaira, chairman of the Toyota Foundation, executive chairman and vice president of Toyota Motor Corporation (former chief of the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy).

During the communication, Nobuyuki Kodaira conveyed how Toyota, Japan's largest automobile company, achieves high efficiency and high quality in management, and proposed many highly referential viewpoints.
He proposed that efficient production follows the "three necessities" principle: producing the necessary products in the necessary quantities at the necessary time; at the same time, eliminating the "3M" principles on the production site, namely inappropriate (muda), unevenness (mura), and overburden (muri).

On site, Nobuyuki Kodaira also shared insightful quotes from Taiichi Ohno, the founder of the Toyota Production System, conveying management philosophies such as abandoning preconceived notions, starting everything from the actual site, repeatedly asking "why" five times for problems; "overproduction" is the biggest waste. Introducing automatic stop devices to prevent high-performance machines from producing defective products, injecting human wisdom into machines, and many other business management concepts inspired the Sichuan Business Association directors greatly.
On the evening of the 29th, after arriving in Hiroshima, the Sichuan Business Association staff arranged for everyone to dine at a uniquely styled izakaya to experience local dining culture. In addition, a creative "cultural evening" was arranged — the "Chinese Song Library" competition.

All directors were divided into groups A and B to compete by singing songs containing designated words. The group with the most consecutive songs won. Each team member had their own role, some responsible for finding songs and memorizing lyrics, others for singing. The atmosphere was relaxed and joyful, with solo performances and group singing, uniting the entire delegation as one without distinction.
As the "cultural evening" neared its end, all members of the delegation stood up and sang "Ode to the Motherland" together, the most beautiful song of the night, bringing the entire dinner atmosphere to its peak.
In just a few days, the directors of the delegation had already built deep friendships and shared fulfilling and joyful travel memories. During a meal break, Kou Xuewen, director of the association and president of the Sichuan Chamber of Commerce in Shenzhen, expressed the hope that directors would participate more in association activities to strengthen communication and cooperation among directors and grow stronger together.
[Sichuan—Hiroshima Enterprise Exchange and Matching Meeting] Business event. Yin Li, deputy secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and governor, Kawaguchi Kazunari, director of Hiroshima Prefecture's Commerce, Industry and Labor Bureau and Minister of Overseas Development and Investment Promotion, attended the meeting.

In addition, attendees included Liu Guoqiang, chairman of Sichuan Investment Group Co., Ltd., Wang Hang, vice chairman of New Hope Group and chairman of Kosei Investment, Hua Xin, executive vice president of the Sichuan Business Association and chairman of Chengdu Maipu Industrial Group Co., Ltd., Liu Shangyuan, executive vice president of the Sichuan Business Association, president of the Jilin Sichuan Chamber of Commerce, and chairman of Noride Real Estate Development Group Co., Ltd., He Kai, executive vice president of the Sichuan Business Association and chairman and CEO of China Puri International Holdings Group Co., Ltd., and representatives from more than 30 Sichuan enterprises. Qianchuan Wooden Doors, ranked among the top five in the industry nationwide and vice president of the Sichuan Business Association, was represented by chairman Luo Zhengren at the meeting.

Subsequently, enterprises from both sides held exchange and matchmaking talks, including dozens of Sichuan and Hiroshima enterprises in high-tech, medical, education, food, trade, environment, and business sectors, conducting precise communication, resource matching, and seeking cooperation.
The entire exchange and matchmaking meeting lasted until noon, allowing direct and in-depth communication between enterprises on both sides, which is believed to play an important role in promoting cooperation.

After a busy morning of business activities, the delegation took the Shinkansen to Kyoto, completed a light meal on the train, and then visited the headquarters of Tsukaki Group, a representative Japanese family business, to exchange and learn with Tsukaki Group chairman Tsukamoto Kizaemon.

As a typical representative of Japanese Omi merchants, Tsukaki Group adheres to the basic business philosophy of "three goods" — good for the buyer (enterprise's responsibility to customers), good for the seller (enterprise's own responsibility), and good for society (enterprise's social responsibility). This philosophy is considered the source of sustainable Japanese-style management.

In addition, Tsukamoto Kizaemon shared another key reason for Tsukaki Group's business sustainability, which is "successor education focused on cultivating lifestyle habits," encouraging descendants to do some manageable good deeds from a young age, forming deeply rooted good business intentions.
