  According to media reports, from 4 PM on June 30 to 12 PM on July 1, Baliwan Town experienced an extraordinary heavy rain with a rainfall of 444.3 millimeters, causing severe urban waterlogging in the old town area, partial collapse of rural houses, widespread damage to crops, and serious water damage to ponds, roads, and bridges.
  At 2 PM on July 1, the streets of Baliwan Town were severely waterlogged with water depths exceeding 50 centimeters; 160 houses were flooded and damaged, 98 houses collapsed; 78 shops and 3 large supermarkets were damaged; more than 10 kilometers of rural roads were submerged and destroyed, 79 ponds were submerged and damaged, and about 18,360 mu of crops were affected, including 9,560 mu of rice, 3,886 mu of cotton, 3,130 mu of peanuts, 865 mu of sesame, and 890 mu of sweet potatoes... The situation was critical and the damage severe.
