The launch ceremony of Hong'an "119" Fire Safety Awareness Month and the comprehensive fire drill were held at the Qianchuan Wooden Door Hubei Base.

To deeply carry out socialized fire safety publicity and education activities, widely mobilize the whole society to pay attention to and participate in fire safety work, and strive to improve the fire safety awareness of all people, on November 9th, the People's Government of Hong'an County grandly held the launch ceremony of the "Fire Prevention Risk, Build a Beautiful Home" 119 Fire Safety Publicity Month event and a comprehensive fire drill at the Qianchuan Wooden Door Hubei Production Base. More than 50 heads of member units of the county fire safety committee, more than 200 enterprise leaders from the Economic Development Zone, over 1,000 employees of Qianchuan Wooden Door Hubei Production Base, as well as representatives of key fire prevention units, fire volunteers, fire safety publicity ambassadors, media reporters, and fire rescue team commanders and members totaling more than 1,500 people participated in this event.

The ceremony was hosted by Dai Yunlin, director of the County Emergency Management Bureau. At the ceremony, Ruan Lin, director of the Management Committee of the Economic Development Zone, delivered a speech on behalf of the county government. He pointed out that the 2019 "119" Fire Safety Publicity Day coincided with the first anniversary of the national leaders presenting the flag and giving instructions to the national comprehensive fire rescue team. Fire safety work focuses on "prevention," and fire prevention work relies on "publicity." Fire safety publicity has always been a fundamental part of fire safety work, related to social stability and the safety of the people. It is both a social project and a livelihood project. He hoped that various industry departments, news media, and enterprises and institutions would innovate publicity channels, widely carry out public welfare fire safety publicity, strive to achieve a large-scale publicity pattern of joint management, multi-party linkage, and coordinated combat, and enhance the influence and coverage of fire safety publicity. The general public should also actively participate, proactively learn fire safety knowledge, discover fire safety hazards around them, interact with fire departments to carry out fire safety work, and form a good situation where "everyone receives publicity and education, everyone enhances prevention awareness, and everyone masters basic knowledge." At the ceremony, five advanced collectives and ten advanced individuals in 119 fire safety publicity were commended. Qianchuan Wooden Door was the only enterprise honored, receiving the title of Advanced Unit in Social Fire Safety Publicity Work.

After the launch ceremony, a comprehensive fire emergency drill was organized, and Qianchuan Wooden Door employees actively participated in the drill. Upon hearing the fire alarm bell, personnel quickly activated the emergency plan, directed staff to conduct on-site rescue, and guided Qianchuan employees inside the building to evacuate in an orderly manner. The security team was responsible for guarding the entrances and exits to ensure clear passage, and the medical team was on standby on site. Six volunteer firefighters from Qianchuan donned firefighting gear and joined the fire extinguishing team, quickly completing the water discharge from the fire hydrant and correctly using fire extinguishers to put out the fire. The entire process demonstrated proficient firefighting practical skills and showcased the good image of Qianchuan employees.

At the event site, the fire brigade set up areas for fire safety knowledge popularization displays, fire equipment displays, and fire vehicle displays, aiming to let the public further recognize, understand, participate in, and learn about fire safety. In the fire safety knowledge popularization display area, publicity personnel distributed materials to the public on site, enthusiastically answered fire safety questions raised by the crowd, and freely handed out fire safety knowledge promotional items; in the fire equipment display area, fire instructors explained and demonstrated the operation of related fire equipment; in the fire vehicle display area, advanced fire vehicles such as compressed air Class A foam fire trucks and high-reaching spray fire trucks attracted many employees to stop and watch.

After the event, Qianchuan employees expressed that by participating in this publicity ceremony and fire drill, they further strengthened their fire prevention awareness and self-rescue ability in emergencies, and improved their emergency rescue skills and response quality. Responsibility is heavier than Mount Tai, and prevention is better than disaster relief.
