After the heavy rain caused massive mountain floods and mudslides, the Qingcui plums in Maoling Village, Wenchuan County, suffered serious sales blockages due to road disruptions to Chengdu caused by the mudslide disaster. Mid to late August is the season when Qingcui plums ripen and come to market. Wenchuan is rich in fruits and vegetables, which are the main economic source for most local farmers. A disaster threatens to wipe out a year’s hard work, which is unacceptable to many growers.

Qianchuan Wooden Doors purchased the severely unsold Qingcui plums from impoverished households, buying a total of 4,000 jin (approximately 2,000 kg), hoping to do their best to send care and warmth to compatriots in the disaster area.
