Dry goods! Lin Guan, Deputy General Manager of Qianchuan Wooden Doors, provides specialty stores with a summary of industry cutting-edge information
On August 2nd, the 33rd anniversary celebration and mobilization training conference of Qianchuan Wooden Doors was grandly held in Chengdu. At the meeting, in order to explain the current industry development situation to the participating specialty stores and to review the various changes the company has made in response to changes in sales channels, Lin Guan, Deputy General Manager of Qianchuan Wooden Doors, explained topics of common concern such as "Why is the market hard to understand?", "What should we do for specialty stores to better 'survive'?", and "What small changes has Qianchuan made?".

The more people fail to understand market trends, the more they hope to understand them, but no one can predict the market. Mr. Lin said at the meeting that it is no longer an era without worries about sales. Nowadays, affected by the situation, not only the wooden door industry but all industries face severe challenges in offline retail, and the future market development is unpredictable. Just like online sales, once predicted to replace traditional channels, after the hype has died down, it still became marginal.
Unpredictability does not mean there is no way. In the industry, "surviving" is the opportunity to have choices. Mr. Lin encouraged specialty stores to actively sign orders, strive to increase order volume, and stabilize the number of customers. As long as they work hard to "survive," they can become winners in the market elimination process.

"What should we do for specialty stores to better 'survive'?" Mr. Lin proposed four suggestions: first, actively explore the engineering field. He said the engineering market is huge, and the company provides great policy space for specialty stores, supporting cooperation with local real estate developers regardless of project size; second, grasp categories not involved in fully furnished houses such as wardrobes and focus on sales; third, change direction and target the rental housing market, which is often overlooked but has great potential, striking indirectly; fourth, improve their own versatility and services, strengthen their capabilities, provide comprehensive services to customers, and enhance customer experience.

Market development is unpredictable, but product styles can be defined. Mr. Lin then explained the future development trends of wooden door products. According to the latest data from Sina Home, the sales proportions of Minimalist, New Chinese Style, European and American, and others decrease in order, with Minimalist having the highest proportion at 67%, and New Chinese Style ranking second at 15%. This proves that as the younger generation dominates home consumption, the external fashion environment has changed. Minimalism and the light luxury derived from it have become mainstream, and Qianchuan's new products conform to the current fashion environment.
Why does New Chinese Style rank second instead of others? Mr. Lin explained that with the rise of the nation and the prosperity of Chinese traditional culture, New Chinese Style, which contains traditional cultural temperament and minimalist philosophy, has been welcomed by more and more people.

"What small changes has Qianchuan made?" Mr. Lin also explained small changes in packaging, product protection, tidiness, construction period, etc. For example, boxes will be used in packaging to avoid scratches and abrasions on wooden doors during transportation. Additionally, wooden door protective covers and specially made garbage bags will be mandatorily added to protect the doors, care for the environment, and improve customer comfort.
Finally, Mr. Lin gave a detailed explanation of the design, structure, and craftsmanship of the new products, receiving active and enthusiastic feedback. Everyone expressed the hope that the company could hold more such informative training activities.
