Implementing sustainable public welfare, Qianchuan Wooden Doors visits left-behind mothers on International Women's Day
On November 24, 2016, Thanksgiving Day, Qianchuan Wooden Doors was invited to participate in the Mother Earth Project Thanksgiving event. During the charity auction to support farmers held at the event, Qianchuan Wooden Doors actively took part and successfully bid on a native chicken from the Mother Earth Project implemented in Puxi Township, Lixian County, located over 2,000 meters above sea level. Since then, Qianchuan Wooden Doors has established a deep friendship with the impoverished farmer raising this 63-year-old native chicken in Puxi Township, Lixian County.
Therefore, on the occasion of International Women's Day, Ms. Yang Qin, Vice Chairman of Qianchuan Wooden Doors, specially drove to Puxi Township, Lixian County to visit this left-behind mother, extend holiday greetings, and invited her and her husband to Chengdu for a walk and sightseeing, to spend a different kind of International Women's Day.
At 11 a.m., after a three-hour drive, the Qianchuan Wooden Doors team arrived at Puxi Township and walked to Grandma Yang Minghua's home. Grandma Yang had been waiting outside for a long time and was beaming with joy upon seeing us. Ms. Yang Qin, Vice Chairman of Qianchuan Wooden Doors, presented Grandma Yang with carnations and gifts for the holiday.
After lunch, we set off for Chengdu with Grandma Yang and her husband. In Chengdu, we took them to a photo studio to take their first-ever couple photo, and then to Jinli to experience the unique charm of old Chengdu. This was their first visit to Jinli in twenty years, and they felt both fresh and curious about the changes they saw.
For Grandma Yang Minghua, this must have been an unforgettable International Women's Day. For Qianchuan Wooden Doors, it was also a meaningful event. Charity is not simply about giving; it is the sweetness savored when heartfelt intentions are deeply felt, the song shared when the boundaries of action expand, and the warmth exchanged between giver and receiver.
