Xie Qiang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Chengdu Municipal Health Commission, and his delegation visited Qianchuan Wooden Doors to investigate occupational health.

On the afternoon of June 18, Xie Qiang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Municipal Health Commission, led a delegation including Huang Hui, Director of the Municipal Health Commission Office; Zhou Yaguang, Director of the Comprehensive Supervision Division; Yang Tianyun, Deputy Director of the Occupational Health Division; Ding Hanping, Captain of the Health and Family Planning Supervision and Law Enforcement Team; Liu Zhu, Deputy Director of the Municipal CDC; and Tu Cheng, Head of the Occupational Disease Prevention Section of the Municipal CDC, to conduct an on-site inspection at the Qianchuan Wooden Door Chengdu Production Base. They carried out research and inspection activities on the enterprise's occupational health prevention work. Deputy District Mayor Zou Hua of Wenjiang District, Director Yuan Xiaoling of the District Health Bureau, and key officials from relevant district government departments accompanied the inspection. Qianchuan Wooden Door Chairman Luo Zhengren warmly received the delegation.

Director Xie and his team focused on visiting the paint workshop, door frame workshop, and sanding workshop. During the visit, Chairman Luo introduced Director Xie to the company's occupational health prevention work in recent years, the enterprise's development history, technical processes, production environment, and product quality. "What is the current status of occupational disease hazards and what protective measures are in place?" Director Xie gained an in-depth understanding of Qianchuan's occupational health prevention work and company development through on-site observation, reviewing materials, and inquiries.

After the visit, Director Xie fully affirmed Qianchuan Wooden Door's occupational health prevention work. He also emphasized the need to continue studying the "Occupational Disease Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China," adhere to the principle of prevention first combined with treatment, establish a mechanism where employers are responsible, administrative agencies supervise, industries self-regulate, employees participate, and society supervises, effectively prevent, control, and eliminate occupational disease hazards, protect workers' health and related rights, and promote economic and social development.

To effectively safeguard employees' occupational health, Qianchuan Wooden Door has been taking continuous actions, mainly implementing the following measures:

First, establish specialized institutions and layered supervision, specifically divided into three levels of management: Environmental Safety Section, Manufacturing Center Director, and Workshop Supervisor. From the company level to grassroots management, all are responsible for employees' occupational health. For example, workshop supervisors supervise employees' use of dust masks and other labor protection supplies and have the authority to reward or punish employees based on compliance.

Second, continuously improve technology to protect employees' health from the source. Qianchuan Wooden Door promotes technological innovation; UV roller coating technology has become increasingly mature, and environmentally friendly raw materials such as UV eco-friendly paint are used. In addition, Qianchuan Wooden Door has invested heavily in introducing multiple sets of central vacuum cleaners and other environmental protection equipment, greatly reducing the generation of harmful substances and effectively protecting the environment.

Third, strengthen publicity and education. The company provides training through new employee orientation and daily pre-shift meetings to ensure daily communication and clear understanding by all employees. Warning signs are set up in key work areas and positions to raise employees' awareness of occupational disease prevention.

Fourth, conduct regular hazard factor detection and occupational disease medical examinations. Qianchuan annually commissions qualified companies to test hazard factors in workplaces and conducts annual occupational disease medical examinations for employees in occupational disease positions. New employees receive medical examinations upon entry, and departing employees receive them upon leaving. The company has established occupational health protection files for employees, effectively safeguarding their physical health and legal rights.

After long-term persistence and efforts in occupational health prevention work, Qianchuan Wooden Door has achieved remarkable results, with no cases of occupational disease to date. Occupational health prevention is a long-term task.
