Qianchuan's Actions in the Disaster Area
June 10, 2009: Qianchuan disaster relief materials, Qianchuan wooden doors, arrived in the disaster area, contributing a modest effort to the reconstruction of the disaster area.
On May 12, 2008, an 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck Wenchuan County, Sichuan, causing massive casualties and property losses, bringing great disaster and misfortune to the people in the affected areas. As a local enterprise in the disaster area, Qianchuan deeply understands that post-disaster reconstruction is a long and arduous task. Over the past year, Qianchuan actively resumed production and devoted itself to post-disaster reconstruction. Qianchuan learned about the reconstruction efforts in Dujiangyan Xiang'e Township, where wooden doors are essential building materials. Qianchuan wooden doors immediately responded positively.
"What’s the big deal? We Sichuan people can handle this hardship!" This phrase still resonates in the hearts of Qianchuan people. Luo Zhengren, Chairman of Chengdu Qianchuan Wood Industry Co., Ltd., said: "The people in the disaster area have overcome numerous difficulties and rebuilt their homes on the ruins of the earthquake, which deeply impresses and inspires us. Through post-disaster reconstruction projects, we actively invest in rebuilding the disaster area, expressing our modest intentions, and hereby pay high tribute to the staff and volunteers fighting on the front lines of disaster relief and reconstruction!"
As a part of Chinese society, Qianchuan wooden doors did not hesitate to join the disaster relief efforts immediately after last year's earthquake. Qianchuan donated money and materials and encouraged its employees to voluntarily donate money and materials.
