Qianchuan Wooden Doors July 2009 Fire Drill

On the morning of July 10th, Qianchuan Wooden Doors held a corporate fire drill.
In this drill, all employees of the company's manufacturing center, totaling over 500 staff members, served as corporate fire safety responsible persons, including electrical and welding operators, security personnel, and others. At the same time, to ensure the drill achieved the expected effect and that all corporate fire safety personnel could correctly understand and master fire safety knowledge and operational skills, Qianchuan Wooden Doors' fire safety officer Xiao Hongqiang provided on-site guidance.

At 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event, department heads and the security team gathered 30 minutes early in front of the company playground to clean the event site and prepare equipment. Department heads counted the drill participants and waited for the drill to begin. At 9:00 a.m., our company's Security Department head Director Xiao and safety officer Wang You first explained the purpose, procedures, and significance of the drill. Then, Director Xiao Hongqiang gave a theoretical and skills briefing before the drill, including examples of related fire cases, causes of electrical fires, and a comprehensive analysis of nationwide fires in 2008. He reminded fire safety personnel how to avoid careless use of fire and how to extinguish fires and escape safely if a fire occurs.

Next was the practical drill segment. Xiao Hongqiang and Wang You led the fire safety personnel to the drill site for on-site instruction, guiding everyone on how to use fire extinguishers, correctly assess fire intensity, and quickly extinguish fire sources. They demonstrated the operation and use of fire extinguishers and fire hoses. Fire safety personnel from various departments eagerly participated, showing enthusiasm. Under unified arrangement and guidance, employees shook the fire extinguishers a few times, pulled the safety pin, aimed at the fire source, and quickly pressed the handle. A 'puff' sound was heard as white smoke emerged, and the blazing fire was immediately extinguished. Then, holding the fire hose, they shook it out flat, picked up the nozzle, quickly ran to the hose end, connected the nozzle to the hose, and sprayed the burning building. On-site, Director Xiao also explained how to identify the pressure gauge on fire extinguishers and how to check if extinguishers are expired, along with other fire safety knowledge.
