Qianchuan Wooden Doors organized a viewing of "The Tangshan Earthquake"
Last night (August 13), the outdoor movie organized by the Human Resources and Administration Department officially premiered. Many employees of Qianchuan Wooden Doors genuinely felt "moved": the tearjerker film "Aftershock" was screened outdoors at the company. Despite the hot weather, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of all Qianchuan employees.
The film tells a story of "23 seconds, 32 years." In the early morning of July 28, 1976, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake turned Tangshan into ruins within 23 seconds. A young mother, faced with the impossible choice of saving only one of her two children, reluctantly sacrificed her daughter to save her son. This decision changed the fate of the entire family and trapped the survivors in an emotional dilemma lasting 32 years after the earthquake. Thirty-two years later, the brother and sister reunited during the Wenchuan earthquake. As survivors of the Tangshan earthquake, they took on the responsibility of volunteering for the Wenchuan earthquake relief, and the sister’s wounded heart was healed through this experience.
During the more than two hours of the film screening, they either stood or sat, watching attentively in complete silence. Many were choked up by the touching scenes. After the movie ended, everyone remained deeply immersed in the sorrow and emotion of the Tangshan earthquake’s "23 seconds of injury, 32 years of resilience," which shook their hearts and stirred their souls. They gained a profound understanding and appreciation of life, family affection, and great human love. Many expressed that compared to major earthquakes and disasters, any difficulties in work and life seem insignificant. They resolved to be responsible and loving people, doing their best to care for those around them.
At the same time, the outdoor movie will continue to be screened as scheduled in the future.
